Important Running Rule changes for 2023 Rodoes

  • Parents must sign a waiver for any contestant under 18 in youth and open events to compete without a helmet.  Waivers will be available at the rodeo office when you pay your fees.  only need to sign one a year per contestant.

  • Little Cowgirls must wear a CSA approved riding helmet when riding and competing at CGRA Rodeos. 

  • Flags in breakaway roping must be 6x6 in size. and 3 knots must be used to tie the rope to saddle horn 

  • Cow Riders:  If a contestants helmet touches any part of the cow, the rider will be disqualified.

For 65 years, the CGRA has proudly promoted women in the sport of rodeo 

and provided them a place to showcase their talent in multiple events.

From Little Cowgirls and Juniors to Open competitors, there are events for all ages to compete in! Events include Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping, Steer Undecorating and Cow Riding!!!

CGRA is now accepting bids for our 2023 Finals

Date: September 15th - 17th, 2023

Location: Rimbey Rodeo Grounds

4 Performances approximately 3-3.5 hours

1 Friday evening, 2 Saturday and 1 Sunday

  • Judges x 2

  • Announcer

  • Timers x 2

  • Office Staff  - one main person and one assistant

  • EMT

  • Photographer

  • Chute Boss/Arena Director 

  • Stock and Arena workers x 6

Stock for following events: 

 

You can bid as a whole package or separate events.  With exception of goats, each event will require stock for each contestant plus two spares.  The amount going to Finals will be decided June 30th.  

Example:  10 entries we need 12 stock for each event and different stock for Juniors.  For Goats:  Each contestant will tie a differet goat each go so total for 10 entries would be 4 plus a spare for both Open and Junior)

  • Team Roping Steers

  • Tie Down Calves

  • Breakaway Calves

  • Steer Undecorating

  • Goats

  • Cows for Girls Cow Riding
